The Ballad of the Narc

1. One fine day, early in May, when all the grass was green-o. A fine patch I spied, and quickly did decide, I'd take it home to clean-o! Take it home to clean-o. CHORUS: Hark, hark, the narc, tripping through the park, in the month of May-o. Hark, hark, the narc, quick get the Cutty Sark, and hide the pot away-o. Hide the pot away-o. 2. I cried "tra-la" as I stuffed it in my bra, and bore it dearly home-o. Dried it well, and crushed it all to hell, and strained it with my comb-o. Strained it with my comb-o. CHO. 3. Then I did purloin a friend or two to join, in fellowship devout-o. For what can approach, lighting up a roach, and passing it about-o. Passing it about-o. CHO. 4. Oh we did puff, on that lovely stuff, till the moon was pale-o. Alas and a lark, along came the narc, and dragged us all to jail-o. Dragged us all to jail-o. CHO. 5. Now I await the verdict of my fate, and my advice to you-o. "A pox on pot! Heed my sorry lot, and stick to *sniffing glue-o. Stick to sniffing glue-o." CHO. -------------------------------------------------
* It occurs to me - "sniffing glue" was a phenomenon of the 60s generation -- in case you don't know -- which you probably do -- "glue sniffing" is more dangerous than pot will ever be! It gobbles up brain cells and in some cases blinds people. Yucky stuff. Do people still do it??
